To get away from the daily work grind, train a new employee and brainstorm on plans for 2016, we decided to get away to Chicot State Park for a team building excursion. In the area towards Ville Platte, Louisiana (Coordinates 30.790191, -92.284228 to be exact), you find yourself situated in the center of mother nature’s beauty with over 6,400 acres of rolling hills to get lost in and a 2,000 acre man-made and stocked lake. We only get lost in a 2 mile radius, paddle against the wind, and got stuck in a few trees, but there’s no need to talk about that.
With all of the makings of a horror film – 4 ladies in a cabin on the swamp – we managed to fit in some quality work time, enjoy the fresh air, relax, and overall, bond together as a team. Since we manage the marketing for outdoor brands, it’s nice to get creative ideas flowing outside of 4 white walls and really appreciate what our clients preach about daily – #seewhatsoutthere.
